World championship basketball requires a court size of 28mts long x 15mts wide. Although it is recommended that all new courts conform to this size, the ABF has the authority to approve existing courts with reductions of 4mts on length and 2mts on width. The recommended space about the court is 2mts – 32mts x 19mts.

Advantage Sports and Leisure has constructed numerous basketball courts for councils, clubs and schools and is the North Queensland supplier of Grand Slam BB735 basketball towers, approved for Queensland public works.

As it is mainly the key and free throw areas which are required for half court basketball, the majority of these courts are constructed at 14mts long x 15mts wide. If space and funds are an issue, you might like to consider a basketball key only, the majority of which area constructed at approximately 8mts x 9mts.

The fast moving, high impact game of Basketball when played on bare hard court surfaces can cause injury and long term fatigue. The energy absorbing surfaces of Rebound Ace leads to injury reduction and sure footed confidence. For clubs, schools, councils and private use, we recommend Rebound Synpave.

Rebound Synpave is an attractive, low maintenance, acrylic hard-court surface which has a slip resistant texture even in the wet or after many years of heavy use. The very high abrasion and wear resistance properties of Rebound Synpave mean a longer life before recoating. Rebound Synpave’s unrivalled choice of non-glare UV resistant colour combinations provide a vibrant look, are more player friendly and last longer than any other acrylic hard-court sports surface in the marketplace. Better still, Rebound Synpave is easily cleaned, to maintain an “as new” look.

Known for its properties as a long life hard-court and as a proven performer with installations in existence for over 20 years, you can be confident in your investment and in the Rebound Ace heritage. Rebound Synpave will resurface existing courts and / or aged asphalt, eliminating often dangerous situations and extending the life of the court.

Grand Slam BB735R reversible basketball towers are approved by Queensland State works and are manufactured to meet a wind load rating of W33, W41 or W50 depending on your location. The towers come with reinforced cages and sleeves, which are installed as per industry requirements. All multipurpose public and school use courts are now required to have goal post padding and we recommend Grand Slam GPP15 post pads.
